This scripture helps so that we're not deceived by false teachings.

Acts 17:11 (NIV) Verse 7

Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.

Look, this is what we supposed to do. Remember I said when you sit in the service and you hear the preacher preaching, you examined the scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true, right there reading it along with them. Making sure that they're saying the right scripture, examining it. It didn't say "reading", it, it says "they examined the scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true."

Now Paul, he was doing the work of ministry, but you know what, even Paul had to be checked to see what he was saying. And they went and they checked what he was saying, to make sure to see what if what Paul was saying was true. Saints of God, that's instruction for us today. Don't be so gullible hearing a lot and not examining!

Study the Word of God because it's going to give you that spirit of discernment to pick up whether a person is a true or false prophet.
