Time mark 0:00

We're continuing our discussion regarding how to approach God for inner healing and deliverance from the evil spirits that seek to torment us based on the adverse childhood experiences that they inspired others to inflict upon us.

If this is the first you're hearing me speak on this vitally important topic, then you may go back and learn more from the start as this is the forth in a series which started in study number 22 entitled, "Be Made Whole".

As an adult you may have observed that you're not excelling or are not moving forward at the pace that you would like to. You may feel that for a long time you have suppressed certain feelings that you wish weren't present at all, but they remain and trouble you.

You may have noticed that your emotions suddenly trigger, causing you to become sad, angry, speak unkindly to others, or snap to one extreme or another.

Certain circumstances or emotions trigger you to go back to seeking comfort in an old habit or addiction whose comfort doesn't last and you end up doing more harm to yourself than good.

It's because for the majority of the time, we have not faced or we have not talked about our adverse childhood experiences. They are real and we must go to the doctor of our heart, Jesus, to finally be healed in order to come into all the blessings that He has for us. He's waiting for us to come to Him as it is written,

"THEY CRY UNTO THE LORD in their trouble, and He saves them out of their distresses. He sent His Word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions." - Psalms 107:19-20

"COME unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." - Jesus in Matthew 11:28

"CAST all your cares/anxieties upon Him because He cares for you." - 1 Peter 5:7

"Oh that men would praise the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!" Psalms 107:21

Time mark: 2:04

The woman who touched the hem of Jesus garment who had the issue of blood, Jesus told her, "Because of your faith you have been made whole." He recognized her faith that she put into action by pressing through the crowd to intentionally touch the hem of His garment.

Jesus didn't just say "You're healed", He said, "You've been made whole." We have to take the initiative and make the conscious decision to say, "Let me press into Jesus, into His Word, and be made whole. I don't want what happened to me to cause me to feel like I'm damaged goods. No, this is not what defines me. I don't have to act unloving because someone acted unloving toward me!"

We must come to Jesus to be made whole. Through the Word of God, you we be made whole because Jesus is the Word! We must open up our understanding to receive what Jesus, the Word of God says.

In the majority of churches people aren't well versed in what the Word of God says to do to be made whole, so they often say, "Oh, just pray." Yes, prayer is important, but the earnest prayers of a righteous man availeth much, therefore we must study and obey God's counsel and act righteously in order to receive the benefits of prayer as we live pleasing unto our Father and Lord, our Healer.

Putting action to prayer means putting our faith and trust in believing God, activating our faith, putting hope and trust in Him to take away our heartaches and pains as we obediently CAST our cares and anxieties upon Him to take away from us, that we need never be burdened by them again, then able to receive our healing and deliverance to be made whole!

2 Corinthians 7:4

"Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation."

There were things that we're going on. And I'm going to tell you that sometimes the things that happened to us, we did not ask for them to happen. Oh, that's "tribulation". Tribulation, that's a biblical word so to speak, or biblical vernacular, but today, "trauma" is the word that we recognize as when we are going through adverse circumstances that have been forced upon us against our will.

Time mark: 8:18

For God to be able to come in and move in our heart to healing, we have to have a contrite heart.

Things that happen to us against ou will sometimes can make us angry, can make us frustrated, can make us build walls around our hearts and minds, where we ourselves can now become nasty, evil, rude, because we're hurting. Well, I'm here to tell you today that if we understand what it means to be broken, and we accept the fact that I can't manage all of this, but I know the One who created me, He did not create me just for me to be damaged goods, because God does not make junk!

Whatever a person did, whatever the enemy used in a situation to try to put me down, I know that the Spirit of God is stronger to pull me out and to bring me out. However, in order for this to happen, we have to have a contrite heart, teachable, learning His way.

We have to be able to say, "Lord I'm broken, but I want to be made whole."

Time mark: 20:44

We know how to praise God in the midst of the storm, but it doesn't take away the facts. Just as when Jesus was in the Garden of Gethsemane and He said,

"Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee. Take away this cup from me, nevertheless not what I will, but what thou will." - Mark 14:36

We all get in places where we are broken, and it's so important to not stay broken, but to actively pursue to be made whole after the trial has already passed, as Jesus was at His resurrection.

What happens when you're broken and you don't want to be made whole, is that you don't respond to others from a place of loving wholeness in Christ. You look at a others and judge them rather than having compassion and understanding. You're typical disposition is rooted in negativity. You've become complacent and stagnate regarding being a blessing to others, as you succumb to the temptation to be self-centered and selfish. You lack sincere concern and love for your fellow man.

This is why it's important for each of us to face former traumas, to face tribulations, to be healed of them.

We must go to God and pray and ask for Him to enlighten us to the counsel of His Word to be healed and delivered. We must humbly ask, "Help me Lord?" then do whatever He counsels in His Word and through His loving ambassadors who've been there, have been healed, and know how to lead you according to His Word!
