When we are going through our developmental stages, from infancy all the way up into adulthood, if we do not seek inner healing of things that have occurred in our lives that were traumatic, that were hurtful, things that we just felt overwhelmed about when we were young, of which didn't have a proper understanding, if we don't talk about these things, or we do not acknowledge these things, what we do is repress these painful memory fragments into the back recesses of our mind unhealed.
Subconsciously, when things around us reminds us of these painful memories, this triggers our mind to recall our reactions during those adverse circumstances, causing for us to overreact in the present in ways that do not represent Christlike behavior, does not represent how a man of God, a woman of God, a child God should handle present adversity.
Often times our present day over-reactions are based on uninformed childhood adverse reactions, to circumstances that we didn't understand and had no control over.
The mechanism of how we operate as human beings is fight or flight. We're either going to fight back or view the adversity as overwhelming our ability to deal with it so therefore believe it best to run away from it and get away from it to get to a hiding place.
The coping mechanisms that we adopted as children have become our programmed responses as adults that have become so natural to us that we don't even recognize why we're responding the way that we do in present circumstances.
It's not unusual for our programmed behavioral responses to be an obstacle to us moving forward through doors of opportunity.
Such responses may cause us to have low self-esteem and insecurities that along with hindering us in our daily circumstances, likewise may hinder us in pressing toward the mark of the prize of our high calling in Christ Jesus, to serve as His ambassador to others in the world.

Jesus said, I leave you the Comforter and the Comforter will lead and guide you to the Truth, the Truth that you need to free you from all that binds you.
A lot of people are demonically oppressed and they're depressed. They allow demonic influence to control them. That's why it's so easy for them to snap.
You may say, "What's the matter? Why are you laughing? You're talking and the next minute you're cursing me out?" It's because of demonic influence! We need deliverance. We need to be set free from evil spirits that attached themselves to us when we were abused and heartbroken.
What is the root? It's essential that we seek full understanding of the root, like a doctor diagnoses a the root cause of a sickness. If we don't clean and heal the infection, then the ugly symptoms are going to persist!
When you have a rotten tree in your yard and you don't remove it with it's roots, the stump will stay right there, notwithstanding that you chop the tree down.
The roots can continue to grow and move up through the concrete of the sidewalk, push it up, make the sidewalk ugly, and create a stumbling block that passers-by trip on.
All this ugliness is still there because the roots have not been pulled up though the tree and it's branches may have cut off. If you don't go and remove the roots, you're still going to have an ugly display there to deal with, and be tripping over.
It's the same with our lives. We must seek healing of the roots of our heart, it's aches, pains, and traumas, and cast out evil spirits that impress negative, depressing thoughts upon our mind.

Philippians 4:7
"And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
Have you observed of yourself that there may be certain people, or perhaps certain leaders that irritate you? That you feel uncomfortable with, be it a particular man or woman, or perhaps you harbor a prejudice against either male or female leaders? Why?
Often the people that we feel uncomfortable with did us no wrong. it's more likely that we're attributing to people in our present day, characteristics of other people who hurt us in prior days. When we haven't yet sought the Lord for healing of our heartaches, pains, and traumas caused by people in our past, we carry those pains into our present and the enemy of soul, evil spirits, inspire thoughts in our mind to take out our pains against people in our present!
We need to devote time spent with Jesus to talk to him about our childhood or prior hurts, with His help come to understand why these things happened, forgive the assailants as Jesus has forgiven us, and cast all our cares and anxieties upon Him because He cares for us and wants us to give them to Him to carry these burdens away from us once and for all!
When we do this, cease holding onto the burdens of the past, is when we have open arms to receive the peace of God in the present, the supernatural peace of God that surpasses all understanding, peace that surpasses the understanding of other's sins that were committed against us!
Henceforth our hearts and our minds are kept in good standing, restored to proper function, no longer overreacting in present circumstances, because the wounds of past childhood adverse experiences have finally been healed and closed, praise the Lord!
Because now we have the peace of God, that passes all understanding that peace of God. It you know what you say? passeth all understanding meaning that something that's difficult to get through on a level of trying to fight through trauma, trying to fight through discord content strike those things is but
When you have the peace of God, you have the ability to clearly see what's happening in the present, not clouded by unhealed wounds of the past.
Now you understanding when you see others speaking and acting out of discord, contention, and strife. You now have the peace of mind and spiritual understanding to not engage accept the temptation to engage at the level of the unregenerate carnal mind.
Now in peace, you are able to function and live as did Christ, rising above the ways of discord and sinning, and rather responding in compassion of heart for these unhealed souls, with love even for those who in the very present, are sinning against you, as did Jesus our example.
Luke 23:33-36
When they came to the place called The Skull, there they crucified Him with criminals, one on His right and the other on His left. Then Jesus said,
"Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do."
And they cast lots, dividing up His garments among themselves, and the people stood by looking on, and the rulers sneered at Him saying, "He saved others, let Him save Himself if He be the Christ, the Chosen of God." The soldiers also mocked Him.
Matthew 5:44-48
"But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you. Do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you and persecute you,"
"that ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven, for he makes His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust."
"If you love them which love you, what reward have you? Do not even the publicans do the same?"
"And if you salute your brethren only, what do you more than others? Do not even the publicans do so?"
"You therefore be perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."
