Unloving practices are very often rooted in adverse circumstances and traumas during our childhood. When not properly addressed, which most often they are not, they grow with us as the root grows deep in our subconsciousness. The old adage, "time heals all wounds", though popularly said, is not true, so people often do not seek healing as they falsely hope that heartaches will heal themselves, but they do not.

Instead, our personality grows crooked as the emotional impact of what we've suffered causes our social development to be stunted in particular aspects, as if walking with a limp and not being able to run as God had originally intended.

God never wants anyone to undergo abuse. Children's minds, try to process what's going on but don't know how to process trauma, so instead the mind tries to bury the traumas as memory fragments in the subconscious mind, therefore the mind is no longer whole, but is double-minded to say the least, having a desire to be at peace, but is unable to be at peace, like one's view in a shattered mirror.

Galatians 5:17 KJV For the flesh (of the unhealed natural mind, being restless, not at peace) sets its desire against the Holy Spirit (of Christ, our Prince of Peace), and the Spirit against the flesh, for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please.

Psalm 119:113 - I hate being double-minded, but I love Your law.

Psalms 119:9-10 - How shall a person cleanse their way? By taking heed thereto according to Thy Word. I seek you with my whole heart. O' let me not wander from Thy commandments!

Mark 12:30 - "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with thy whole heart, thy whole soul, thy whole mind, and thy whole strength."

Psalms 139:23-24 - Search me, O God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my anxieties and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in Your Way everlasting.

THE ABC's of DELIVERANCE and HEALING (D):

James 4:6 "He gives us more grace, this is why scripture says: “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”

James 4:7

(A) "Submit yourself therefore to God."

(B) "Resist the devil, and "

(C) "he will flee from you."

James 4:8-10 (D) "Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners (stop your practices of sinning) and purify your hearts you double-minded (only do what's right). Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep (over your practices of sinning). Let your laughter (in sinning) be turned to mourning (for sinning), and your joy (in sinning) to heaviness (for sinning). Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up!"

It's vitally important that we make time first and foremost to understand ourselves with the help and inspiration of the loving Holy Spirit, and the brethren who are able to lovingly minister to us as members of their own body in Christ.

We must humble ourselves, submitting our self unto God with a contrite spirit, crying out to Him, "Lord, help me. Lord, I need help!"

If on the contrary, you keep a wall up around you, which is what the evil Spirit of Rejection inspires everyone to do, if you do not resist the devil, then you remain bound with spiritual shackles and fetters to those heartaches, pains, PTSD, and the people that traumatized you, never breaking those bondages to be made free, to operate in union with the Holy Spirit. You must overcome, taking heed thereto according to God's Word so that you may fulfill what God has created you to be, and to do what He has created you to do!

Don't stay down! Get up! Get up!

Today I'm going to talk to you about hope. We talked about adverse childhood experiences, now we're going to talk about HOPE, H. O. P. E., Health Outcomes of Positive Experiences.

Okay, now we know what the problem is. Now we're getting to being made whole, through HOPE. Let's get to understanding what are health outcomes of positive experiences. We have to start creating positive experiences in our lives that counter attack the traumatic things that have occurred in our lives. It's through hope that we're able to get over those things that try to destroy us. It's hope that keeps us alive. It's hope that keeps us going.

The enemy doesn't want us to hope for better things in life. Our spiritual enemies don't want us to put our hope and trust in God. They want us accept them putting us down all the time, making us not feel good about our self, and that the evil words they inspire people to speak over our life are true.

They're not! That's a lie. Evil spirits are liars and a losers. They come to kill, steal and destroy. They will try to kill and destroy the potential God created us with to be great! All of us are great in our own right when we make the decision to become better, when we make the decision to say, "I'm not going to stand for a low bar of expectation. When we make a decision to say, "I'm not going to sit in the muck and the mire of an unfulfilling life!" When you overcome through the blood of the Lamb, through the blood of Jesus Christ, you are great in Him!

We have hope given us in the divine instruction of God to help us along the way. The scriptures for this study that I encourage you to go back and re-study are based on the word "hope": Jeremiah 29:11, Romans 15:13, and in the second half of this study we'll look at 1 Peter 1:13.

In Jeremiah 29:11 our Creator says, "I know the thoughts that I think toward you," saith the Lord, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."

To give you an expected end! He wants for us to have a good life. He wants us to have our expectations focused on good things!

Romans 8:24, 15:13

We are saved (healed and delivered) by hope, but hope that is seen is not hope, for what a man sees, why does he yet hope for, (therefore we must take steps of faith),

and the God of hope will fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

"Abound in hope", what does this mean? It means that there's consistency. We must practice the discipline of consistently having a conscious flow of meditating on the Word of God, to remain in Jesus' Word, with the mindset of believing and hope.

John 8:31-32

Then said Jesus to those who believed on Him,

"IF YOU CONTINUE in My Word,

THEN are you My disciples in deed,

AND you shall know The Truth,

AND The Truth shall make you free!"

I thank God for the experience of being an educator. I've seen some kids who were in situations where they were in a household, unfortunately, where they weren't being fed properly. There was some disruptive situations that would go on in the home and they would come to school and study, they'd be on the honor roll, projects always handed, work always done.

How is that? Because the Spirit of God is on the inside. I believe it's because He made us. Even if you don't like your mother and father, you still have their DNA inside of you. A part of them is on the inside of you. So I believe because God is our Father, even people who don't yet know Him and believe in Him as they should, the Spirit of God, His Spirit of Life is still present within.

This is why there's always a desire. There's always a curiosity. Even an atheist has to believe in God because they say there is no God, so why then are they saying there is no God? Because in some way, your mind knows that a man or woman, a dog or a cat could not have put the sun, the moon and the stars in the sky. Therefore there's this hole in their heart longing for fulfillment. This is what would keep these students activated to stay focused, to make honor roll despite what they were going through, despite traumatic circumstances going on in their homes.

We need the medicine of the Word of God, fasting, and praying. Assembling of ourselves among true men and women of God that are going to speak life into our being, that are a good example of who Christ wants us to be. These spiritual practices are effective in uprooting stumbling blocks in our thinking that hinder the Holy Spirit from being free to be the blessing to our mind that He wants to be, and to flow as Living Waters from our inner most being.

Once stumbling blocks are removed through spiritual discipline, the living waters begin to flow through and activate you spiritually which is exciting newness of life! The Truth of the Living Waters well up inside you and overflow from your mouth blessing others as from the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

"The Spirit gives life, the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are Spirit and they are Life." - Jesus in John 6:63

The Words of Life that you are filled up with starts changing the atmosphere wherever you go sharing the good news by your testimony of peace and happiness! Truth dislodges lies and washes them away. The Words of Jesus, which He said are "Spirit and they are Life", flush out all that doesn't make sense, as is characteristic of the lies of evil spirits who inspire negative thoughts of rejection, depression, and anxiety in everyone's minds which we learn to discern, reject, and terminate meditating on lies and rather meditate on God's Words of Truth!

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 Amplified

Though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh!

The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, as in the foolishness of speaking our own words, but

mighty through God, as Jesus did, we speak His Words, to:

the pulling down of the enemy's strong holds,

the casting down of vain imaginations, that the enemy has impressed upon our mind such as we're no good, we're unloved and unwanted,

the casting down every lie that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, His true love and that of His faithful son's and daughters, and

bringing into captivity and terminating every thought that's not in obedience to Christ, the Truth!

Philippians 4:8-9 Finally, brethren,

whatsoever things are:

true, whatsoever things are
honest, whatsoever things are
just, whatsoever things are
pure, whatsoever things are
lovely, whatsoever things are of
good report, (not bad news) if there be any
virtue, and if there be any
praise,

Think on these things!

The things which you have both learned, received, heard, and seen in Christ's Word,

DO, and the God of Peace shall be with you!
