Relationships 3A How to Strengthen your Marriage! Introduction
• Relationships are compartmentalized according to the type of relation we are engaging in. Relationships deal with two components: thoughts on persons or that are more that come into a space of agreement on certain concepts, concepts and certain things. On that time, they may disagree, but they have an understanding that the focus is to collaborate, work together.
• If you want to recapture the foundation of relationships discussed in the previous week, you can go back to the YouTube link provided in the monthly newsletter, which also provides access to the podcasts, Bible studies, and Bible school lessons @ https://bit.ly/LOJ-March-2023-Newsletter
• The series is based on relationships, particularly on marriage. Marriage is an institute that has been created by God, and it's something that we all need to be knowledgeable about.
• It's important to listen in and learn about marriage even if you are single, divorced, or a widow. Marriage is something that we need to respect, and learning about it can help us be a help to someone else.
• A good marriage is a marriage where the two people are willing and want to make it work. They find a solution to come out of conflict, get to a place of effective conversation, and build upon the strength of what their marriage has established, so that they can continue to death do us part.
• When dealing with married couples or married people, it's important to be functioning in a good marriage yourself.
• It's always important to find someone else who is in a good marriage, not because they don't have any problems, but because they have found a way to come out of conflict and continue to work together.
• The Bible says in Psalm 37:37, "Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace."
• When you are looking for guidance and counseling, look for someone who is knowledgeable in that area through experience.
• When it comes to marriage, it's important to ask the Lord where to lead you to get knowledge and advice, and to seek Godly counsel.
• Marriage is a collaboration between two individuals who make a commitment to say that they are going to make sure that they stay committed to one another.
• Satan, our enemy, comes to kill, steal, and to destroy. That is his assignment and his job as Jesus said in John 10:10, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."
• The Bible provides encouragement for marriage, and the speaker is going to go over a couple of Bible verses to encourage your marriage and expound upon how to keep things intact.
• Whether you are just entering into a marriage or you have been married for 50 years, you can find encouragement and God's word.
• Satan does his job well if we allow a little crack for him to enter in. Don't let the enemy create any cracks for him to come in, because if he finds a little crack, he's going to blow it up.
• We should not let small things cause big problems in our relationships. Don't allow little things to spiral and escalate into something else.
• Love is the foundation of all marriages and we need to show love to our spouses.
• 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
• We should not be jealous or envious of our spouse and should lift them up.
• We should be truthful with our spouses and establish a bond of trust and peace.
